A significant project such as the FCC-ee (with 91.17 km circumference) entails numerous challenges to ensure the stability and performance of the machine. In the pursuit of contributing to the improvement of energy consumption during its operation, the exp ...

In this paper, we investigate incoherent quadrupolar synchrobetatron resonances caused by beam-beam collisions and their interplay with longitudinal wakefields in the context of crab-waist colliders. We present a comprehensive theoretical review of the est ...

In response to the 2013 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics (EPPSU), the Future Circular Collider (FCC) study was launched as a world-wide international collaboration hosted by CERN. The FCC study covered an energy-frontier hadron collider ...

In this paper, we present a Monte Carlo event generator for radiative Bhabha scattering, based on the method of equivalent photons, and optimized for multiturn tracking simulations in the xsuite framework. We demonstrate the accuracy of the event generator ...

Machine learning entails a broad range of techniques that have been widely used in Science and Engineering since decades. High-energy physics has also profiled from the power of these tools for advanced analysis of colliders data. It is only up until recen ...

The beam response to an external excitation may result in a growth of the emittance, or more generally a modification of its particle distribution. The former reduces the luminosity, and the latter might lead to a loss of Landau damping of coherent instabi ...

The Future Circular Electron-Positron Collider (FCC-ee) represents a cutting-edge particle physics facility designed to further investigate the 𝑍 0 , W± and Higgs boson in addition to the top quark. The implementation of Nested Magnets (NMs) in the FCC-ee ...

The Future Circular Collider (FCC) study is developing designs for a new research infrastructure to host the next generation of higher performance particle colliders to extend the research currently being conducted at the LHC. In particular, FCC-ee is an e ...

The collimation system of the Future Circular Collider, operating with leptons (FCC-ee), must protect not only the experiments against backgrounds, but also the machine itself from beam losses. With a 17.8 MJ stored energy of the electron and positron beam ...

Understanding the concept of dynamic aperture provides essential insights into nonlinear beam dynamics, beam losses, and the beam lifetime in circular particle accelerators. This comprehension is crucial for the functioning of modern hadron synchrotrons li ...

The Landau damping mechanism stabilizes the impedance driven head-tail modes in hadron synchrotrons. Because of the frequent coherent beam instabilities observed in the Large Hadron Collider in 2012, the Landau damping of the beams was doubted. Therefore, ...

In response to the 2013 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the Future Circular Collider (FCC) study was launched, as an international collaboration hosted by CERN. This study covers a highest-luminosity high-energy lepton collider (FCC-e ...

The FCC-ee project takes a step forward towards the discovery of new physical phenomena beyond the frontier of the standard model, by aiming at unprecedented center of mass energies and luminosities in a double-ring lepton collider. In order to explore pot ...

The transverse emittance growth rate of colliding hadron beams driven by external sources of noise is investigated based on existing analytical model as well as on macro-particle simulations and comparison to experimental data at the Large Hadron Collider ...
