Thin Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators (TFBARs) had been developed a decade ago and since then were implemented extensively in mobile communications devices. The "heart" of a TFBAR consists of a piezoelectric film that operates as an acousto-electric tran ...

A theoretical model for the dc bias dependence of induced acoustic resonances in paraelectric materials is presented. The field dependent piezoelectric constitutive equations were derived from the Landau free energy expansion with respect to the ferroelect ...

The effect of mechanical loading on the tuning performance of a tunable Thin Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator (TFBAR) based on a Ba0.3Sr0.7TiO3 (BST) thin film has been investigated experimentally and theoretically. A membrane-type TFBAR was fabricated by ...

BaxSr1-xTiO3 (BST) and its composite films have been studied for the improvement of the tunable performances via nano-structual control. The strong correlation between strain and tunability similar to that between strain and permittivity was confirmed in t ...

The relative concentration of BaTiO3 and CeO2 is shown to control the inclination of composite growth. The oblique composite structures consist of tunable BaTiO3 nanofibers embedded in a CeO2 matrix, which lowers considerably the permittivity while signifi ...

A tunable membrane-type thin film bulk acoustic wave resonator (TFBAR) based on a Ba0.3Sr0.7TiO3(BST) thin film has been fabricated. The resonance and antiresonance frequencies of the device can be altered by applying a dc bias: both shift down with increa ...
