L-lysine is an essential a-amino acid and a necessary building block for all proteins in the body. As an essential amino acid, L-lysine is not synthesized by humans or animals. Industrially produced L-lysine has therefore a big market as food additive, e.g ...

Aim: Treatment of sensorineural hearing loss could be advanced using novel drug carriers such as hyperbranched polylysine (HBPL) or lipid nanocapsules (LNCs). This study examined HBPL and LNCs for their cellular uptake and possible toxicity in vitro and in ...

This work describes the dilute solution and solid-state structure of polyelectrolyte complexes generated from hyperbranched polylysine (HBPL) and various anionic, sodium alkyl sulfate surfactants. In dilute solution, the radius of gyration (Rg) of the HBPL ...

This report describes the aqueous solution self-assembly of a series of polystyrenem-b-poly(L-lysine)n block copolymers (m = 8-10; n = 10-70). The polymers are prepared by ring-opening polymerization of e-benzyloxycarbonyl-L-lysine AT-carboxyanhydride usin ...

This article discusses the synthesis and properties of dendritic and hyperbranched polyamides. The first part of the article focuses on peptide dendrimers and starts with providing an overview of the synthetic pathways that have been used to prepare dendri ...

Because of the unequal reactivity of the two amine groups of L-lysine hydrochloride, thermal polymerization of this asymmetrical AB2 monomer results in hyperbranched polymers, which contain ?2.5 times more N?-linked linear compared to N?-linked linear stru ...

This contribution reports on the synthesis of hyperbranched polylysines via thermal polymerization of L-lysine hydrochloride. Polymerization of L-lysine hydrochloride in the presence of one equivalent KOH at 150°C resulted in polymers with a number-average ...
