A new method for the design of fixed-order dynamic output-feedback Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) controllers for discrete-time LPV systems with bounded scheduling parameter variations is presented in this paper. Sufficient conditions for the stability, H2 ...

This paper presents the practical aspects and application of a novel data-driven, fixed-structure, robust control design method. Only the frequency response data of the system is needed for the design, and no parametric model is required. The method can be ...

A model-free PID controller tuning approach is presented in this paper. The method can handle different stability and performance indicators in the frequency domain. The phase margin, gain margin, crossover frequency and more advanced indicators which are ...

In this paper, a data-driven approach is proposed to tune fixed-order controllers for unknown stable LTI plants in a mixed-sensitivity loop-shaping framework. The method requires a single set of input-output samples and it is based on convex optimization t ...

The consistency of certain identification methods for Linear Parameter Varying systems is considered. More precisely, methods for the identification of SISO input-output models are analysed. In order to perform a consistency analysis the application of erg ...

In this paper, reactive power sharing for Photovoltaic (PV) units in islanded microgrids has been formulated as a robust control design problem and is solved using convex optimization method. In addition to reactive power sharing, the disturbance rejection ...

This paper presents a novel frequency-domain approach toward the control design for parallel grid-connected voltage source inverters (VSIs) with LCL output filters. The proposed method allows the controllers of multiple VSIs to be designed in a single step ...

In this paper, fixed-order robust H-infinity controller design for systems with ellipsoidal parametric uncertainty based on parameter dependent Lyapunov functions is studied. Using the concept of Strictly Positive Realness (SPRness) of transfer functions, ...

An analysis of the variance of the parameters of a multi-input plant estimated in closed-loop operation is performed. More specifically, the effect of the simultaneous excitation of an additional input on the variance of the estimated parameters is investi ...

A new method for H-infinity gain-scheduled controller design by convex optimization is proposed that uses only frequency-domain data. The method is based on loop shaping in the Nyquist diagram with constraints on the weighted infinity-norm of closed-loop t ...

The frequency-domain data of a multivariable system in different operating points is used to design a robust controller with respect to the measurement noise and multimodel uncertainty. The controller is fully parametrized in terms of matrix polynomial fun ...

In recent years, noniterative Correlation-based Tuning (CbT) and Virtual Reference Feedback Tuning (VRFT) have been proposed as an alternative to the standard model-based approach for model-reference control design. In this work, the problem of input desig ...

Frequency Response Function (FRF)-based control synthesis methods for Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) systems have been widely used in control theory and industry. Recently, there has been renewed interest in these methods, employing numerical optimization too ...

Performance of any model-based control scheme depends on the quality of model. When these schemes deliver poor loop performance due to model-plant mismatch (MPM), a detection of the same needs to be in place. A recently introduced plant model ratio (PMR) n ...

Iterative Learning Control (ILC) is a technique used to improve the tracking performance of systems carrying out repetitive tasks, which are affected by deterministic disturbances. The achievable performance is greatly degraded, however, when non-repeating ...

All H-infinity controllers of a SISO LTI system are parameterized thanks to the relation between Bounded Real Lemma and Positive Real Lemma and a new concept of strict positive realness of two transfer functions with the same Lyapunov matrix in the matrix ...

This paper addresses the problem of H-infinity and H-2 performance analysis of continuous-time affine single parameter-dependent systems with polynomially parameter-dependent Lyapunov matrices. First, some necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of li ...

Methods for direct data-driven tuning of the parameters of precompensators for LPV systems are developed. Since the commutativity property is not always satisfied for LPV systems, previously proposed methods for LTI systems that use this property cannot be ...

This paper addresses the water temperature control in condensing domestic boilers. The main challenge of this process under the controller design perspective is the fact that the dynamics of condensing boilers are strongly affected by the demanded water fl ...

The iterative data-driven method labelled Correlation-based Tuning (CbT) is considered in this paper for the tuning of linear time-invariant multivariable controllers. The approach allows one to tune some elements of the controller transfer function matrix ...
