The evolution of the electromagnetic coupling, α, in the momentum-transfer range 1800 GeV2 < -Q2 < 21600 GeV2 is studied with about 40 000 Bhabha-scattering events collected with the L3 detector at LEP at centre-of-mass energies √s = 189-209 GeV. The runni ...

The mass of the τ lepton has been measured in the decay mode τ→3πντ using a pseudomass technique. The result obtained from 414fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector is Mτ=[1776.61±0. 13(stat)±0.35(sys)]MeV/c2. The upper limit on the relative mass d ...

A measurement of the branching fraction of the decay B-s(0) -> (KSKS0)-K-0 is performed using proton- proton - collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment between 2011 and 2016. The branching fracti ...

The prompt production of the charmonium chi(c1) and chi(c2) mesons has been studied in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at a centre-of-mass energy of root s = 7 TeV. The chi(c) mesons are identified through their decays chi(c) -> J/psi ...

First observations of the decays A(b)(0) -> A(c)(+)D((s))(-) are reported using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb(-1) collected at 7 and 8 TeV center-of- ass energies in proton-proton collisions with the LHCb detector. In addition, the ...

The B+ -> D+K+pi(-) decay is observed in a data sample corresponding to 3.0 fb(-1) of pp collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment during 2011 and 2012. The signal significance is 8 sigma and the branching fraction is measured to be B(B+ -> D+K+pi(-)) ...

The production of B-+/- mesons in proton-proton collisions at root s = 7 TeV is studied using 35 pb(-1) of data collected by the LHCb detector. The B-+/- mesons are reconstructed exclusively in the B-+/- -> J/(sic)K-+/- mode, with J/(sic) -> mu(+)mu(-). Th ...

Violations of CPT symmetry and Lorentz invariance are searched for by studying interference effects in B-0 mixing and in B-s(0) mixing. Samples of B-0 -> J/psi K-S(0) and B-0(s) -> J/psi K+K- decays are recorded by the LHCb detector in proton-proton collis ...

Based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.37 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment in 2011, the following ratios of branching fractions are measured: B(B-0 ->pi(+)pi(-))/B(B-0 -> K+pi(-))=0.262 +/- 0.009 +/- 0.017, (f(s)/f(d)).B(B-s(0) ...

The first observations of B-0 -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(+)pi(-) and B-s(0) -> (D) over bar*(2007)K-0(-)pi(+) decays are presented, and their branching fractions relative to that of the B ->( D) over bar* (2007)(0)pi(+)pi(-) decay are reported. These modes ...

Bottom baryons decaying to a J/psi meson and a hyperon are reconstructed using 1.0 fb(-1) of data collected in 2011 with the LHCb detector. Significant Lambda(0)(b) -> J/psi Lambda, Xi(-)(b) -> J/psi Xi(-) and Omega(-)(b) -> J/psi Omega(-) signals are obse ...

A model-independent search for direct CP violation in the Cabibbo-suppressed decay D+ -> K- K+ pi(+) in a sample of approximately 370 000 decays is carried out. The data were collected by the LHCb experiment in 2010 and correspond to an integrated luminosi ...

A search for the decays of the B-c(+) meson to p (p) over bar pi(+) is performed for the first time using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies of ...

The reactions e+e-→e+e -ΛX and e+e-→e+e -Λ̄X are studied using data collected at LEP with the L3 detector at centre-of-mass energies between 189 and 209 GeV. Inclusive differential cross sections are measured as a function of the lambda transverse momentum, pt, and pseudo-rapidity, η, in the ranges 0.4 GeV

A search for the D-0 -> pi(+)pi(-)mu(+)mu(-) decay, where the muon pair does not originate from a resonance, is performed using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1) recorded by the LHCb experiment at a centre ...

A search for K0SðLÞ → πþπ−μþμ− decays is performed using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb−1. No K0SðLÞ → πþπ−μþμ− signals are found and upper limits are set for the first time on the branching fractions BðK0S → πþπ−μþμ−Þ < 1.4 × 10−9 and BðK0L → πþπ−μþμ−Þ < 6.6 × 10−7, at the 90% confidence level.

We present an angular analysis of the B+ -> K*(+)(-> K-S(0)pi(+))mu(+) mu(-) decay using 9 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the full set of CP-averaged angular observables is measured in intervals of the d ...
