The differential branching fraction with respect to the dimuon invariant mass squared, and the CP asymmetry of the B-+/- -> pi(+/-)mu(+/-)mu(-) decay are measured for the first time. The CKM matrix elements vertical bar V-td vertical bar, and vertical bar ...

Decays of b hadrons into final states containing a D-0 meson and a muon are used to measure the b (b) over bar; production cross-section in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV at the LHC. In the pseudorapidity interval 2 < eta < 6 ...

We have searched for lepton-flavor-violating τ decays with a pseudoscalar meson (η, η′ and π0) using a data sample of 401 fb-1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider. No evidence for these decays is found and we set ...

First observations of the rare decays B (+) -> K (+)pi (+) pi (-) mu (+) mu (-) and B (+)-> phi K+ mu(+)mu(-) are presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 ...

The decay (B) over bar (0)(s) -> J/psi pi(+)pi(-) can be exploited to study CP violation. A detailed understanding of its structure is imperative in order to optimize its usefulness. An analysis of this three-body final state is performed using a 1.0 fb(-1 ...

It is shown that the timing capabilities of the LHCb detector operated during the LHC Run 2 can be used to identify light ion particles with momenta of a few GeV/ c . This is achieved by estimating the particle time of flight through a newly developed technique. A dedicated reconstruction procedure and a neural-network-based estimator of the particle speed have been developed to enable deuteron identification by suppressing the abundant background from lighter particles. The performance of the identificatio

A test of lepton universality between muons and electrons is performed using B + → K + ℓ + ℓ − decays (where ℓ = e, μ), in the dilepton invariant-mass-squared region above 14.3 GeV2 /c 4. The data used for the measurement consists of beauty meson decays pr ...

The branching fractions of the decay B+ -> p (p) over barK(+) for different intermediate states are measured using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb experiment. The total branching fraction, its charmless ...

We present new measurements of CP-violation parameters in B0→K0, K+K-KS0, f0(980)KS0, η′KS0, ωKS0, and KS0π0 decays based on a sample of 275×106 BB̄ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e+e- collider. ...

The production of J/psi mesons in jets is studied in the forward region of proton-proton collisions using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The fraction of the jet transverse momentum carried by the J/psi meson, z( ...

The production cross-sections of B mesons are measured in p p collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV, using data collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to a integrated luminosity of 0.36 fb(-1). The B+, B-0 and B-s(0) mesons are reconstruct ...

A search for hidden-charm pentaquark states decaying to a range of ςcD¯ and Λc+D¯ final states, as well as doubly charmed pentaquark states to ςcD and Λc+D, is made using samples of proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of ...

Decays of beauty baryons to the D(0)ph(-) and Lambda(+)(c)h(-) final states (where h indicates a pion or a kaon) are studied using a data sample of pp collisions, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1), collected by the LHCb detector. The ...

An angular analysis of the B-0 -> K*(0) (-> K+pi(-))mu(+)mu(-) decay is presented. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) of pp collision data collected at the LHCb experiment. The complete angular information from the decay is u ...

The pp → W ± (→ μ ± ν μ ) X cross-sections are measured at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy

TeV using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 100 pb − 1 recorded by the LHCb experiment. Considering muons in the pseudorapidity range 2 . 2 < η < 4 . 4, the cross-sections are measured differentially in twelve intervals of muon transverse momentum between 28 < p T < 52 GeV. Integrated over p T , the measured cross-sections are $ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{\sigma}_{W^{+

Tests of lepton universality in B-0 -> K(S)(0)l(+)l(-) and B+ -> K*(+)l(+)l(-) decays where l is either an electron or a muon are presented. The differential branching fractions of B-0 -> K(S)(0)e(+)e(-) and B+ -> K*(+)e(+)e(-) decays are measured in inter ...

The isospin asymmetries of B -> K mu (+) mu (-) and B -> K () mu (+) mu (-) decays and the partial branching fractions of the B (0) -> K (0) mu (+) mu (-), B (+) -> K (+) mu (+) mu (-) and B (+) -> K (+) mu (+) mu (-) decays are measured as functions of ...

The production of charged hadrons within jets recoiling against a Z boson is measured in proton-proton collision data at root s = 8 TeV recorded by the LHCb experiment. The charged-hadron structure of the jet is studied longitudinally and transverse to the ...

A measurement of the decay time-dependent CP-violating asymmetry in B-s(0) -> phi phi decays is presented, along with measurements of the T-odd triple-product asymmetries. In this decay channel, the CP-violating weak phase arises from the interference betw ...

Kinematic correlations for pairs of beauty hadrons, produced in high energy proton-proton collisions, are studied. The data sample used was collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV and corresponds to an integrated lumino ...
