The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) based on a porphyrin core and a π-conjugated linker or acceptor introduced between the porphyrin core and an anchoring group having a high absorption coefficient covering the whole UV-Visible and ne ...

The employment of 2D perovskites is a promising approach to tackling the stability and voltage issues inherent in perovskite solar cells. It remains unclear, however, whether other perovskites with different dimensionalities have the same effect on efficie ...

An optoelectric radiation detector detecting short wave electromagnetic radiation, characterized by a charge transfer layer containing a hole conduction material.

The present invention provides an improved redox couple for electrochemical and optoelectronic devices. The redox couple is based on a complex of a first row transition metal, said complex containing at least one mono-, bi-, or tridentate ligand comprising ...

The dye-sensitized solar cells based on the functionalized organic sensitizer, 3-(5-(5-(4-(bis(4-(hexyloxy)-phenyl)amino)phenyl)thiophen-2-yl)thiophen-2-yl)-2-cyanoacrylic acid (D21L6) exhibit comparable stability to the ruthenium sensitizers under 60 degr ...

A method for achieving complete pore-filling in solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells termed meltinfiltration is presented: after the customary solution-processed deposition of spiro-OMeTAD, the device is heated above the glass transition temperature of s ...

The recently reported heteroleptic cyclometallated iridium(III) complex [Ir(2-phenylpyridine)(2)(2-carboxy-4-dimethylaminopyridine)] N984 and its isomer N984b have been studied more in detail. While photo- and electrochemical properties are very similar, D ...

We demonstrate that a carbon-bridged phenylenevinylene (CPV)-linked dye serves as a novel and efficient sensitizer for dye-sensitized solar cells. The cells show IPCE values of greater than 90%, PCEs of up to 7.12%, and high open circuit voltages reaching ...

We report on rapid halide exchange in metal halide perovskite of the general formula MAPbX(3) (X = Cl, Br, or I). We find that when the perovskite is infiltrated in a mesoscopic scaffold, halide substitution on the perovskite lattice is strikingly fast, be ...

Highly ordered 1D TiO2 nanotube arrays are fabricated and applied as nanocontainers and electron transporting material in CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite solar cells. The optimized device shows a power conversion efficiency of 14.8%, and improved stability under an ...

A cobalt-catalyzed cyclotrimerization of bis(aryl)alkyne is used as an innovative tool to obtain hole-transport materials (HTMs). The novel HTM containing six units of oligotriarylamine (HAB1), characterized by UV-vis, cyclic voltammetry, DFT, and thermogr ...

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is used to identify a slow electron transport process in hydrogen evolution catalysed by amorphous molybdenum sulphides on glassy carbon. A new chemical synthesis leads to an amorphous molybdenum sulfide catalyst with ...

Photoemission and near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) techniques have been used to study the adsorption of pyrocatechol on anatase TiO2 (101) and rutile TiO2 (110) single crystals. Photoemission results suggest the pyrocatechol molecule adso ...

Layered hybrid perovskites based on Dion−Jacobson phases are of interest to various optoelectronic applications. However, the understanding of their structure−property relationships remains limited. Here, we present a systematic study of Dion−Jacobson pero ...

Perovskite solar cells have attracted increasing interest among the photovoltaic community in the last few years owing to their unique properties and high efficiency. In the present work, we report the fabrication of perovskite solar cells based on highly ...

Two D−π−A dyes based on the dithieno[3,2-b:2′,3′-d]pyrrole π-bridge (DTP) were synthesized, characterized using UV−vis absorption spectroscopy and electrochemistry, modeled using quantum chemical calculations, and used as sensitizers in dye-sensitized sola ...

As covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are coming of age, the lack of effective approaches to achieve crystalline and centimeter-scale-homogeneous COF films remains a significant bottleneck toward advancing the application of COFs in optoelectronic devices. ...

Long-term stability is crucial for the future application of perovskite solar cells, a promising low-cost photovoltaic technology that has rapidly advanced in the recent years. Here, we designed a nanostructured carbon layer to suppress the diffusion of io ...
