Description

This lecture introduces the concept of stereotomy, focusing on assemblies and documentation. Topics covered include the modeling and simulation of mechanisms, as well as the design and analysis of structures using TopSolid 7. The lecture delves into the process of creating and manipulating geometric entities, defining unique operations, and working with generic parameters. It also explores the generation of nomenclatures, the representation of parts, and the application of constraints in the design process.

Diplôme d'Architecture à l'EPFL en 1988 (prix SIA, section Vaud, du meilleur travail pratique de diplôme). Collaboration avec plusieurs bureaux d'architecture et, en parallèle, rédaction d'une thèse de doctorat suivie de l'obtention en 1992 du titre de Docteur ès Sciences. Bureau indépendant de 1996 à 2008; enseignement dans plusieurs écoles (dessin technique, peinture, couleurs). De 1999 à 2004, première assistante chez les professeurs Arduino Cantàfora (CRE) et Georges Abou Jaoudé (LIV, cours théorique, visualisation et représentation informatique). De 2005 à 2011, collaboratrice scientifique et chargée de cours auprès du professeur A. Cantàfora (CRE, chaire de représentation et expression) : enseignement pratique du dessin, peinture, et taille de la pierre, et théorique, analyse d'images, techniques de représentation, modes de communication, auprès des étudiants d'architecture de différents niveaux; rédaction de documentation pédagogique (cahiers d'appui des cours). Charge de cours pour une Unité d'Enseignement ENAC intitulée "Lectures du paysage par le biais de l'image et de l'art" avec Robert Ireland de 2006 à 2008. Responsable d'une nouvelle Unité d'Enseignement ENAC sur "les murs de soutènement urbains", printemps 2009 et 2010, avec O. Burdet, A. Parriaux, J-L. Moret. Participation ponctuelle en 2011, 2013 et 2014, pour l'UE-ENAC "Learning from vernacular", du professeur Pierre Frey sur la pierre et les traces de la main dans l'architecture vernaculaire. Recherche personnelle en cours sur les socles à la Renaissance italienne et française, en lien avec les professeurs Volker Hoffmann (Würzburg) et Roberto Gargiani (EPFL). Domaines d'intérêt spécifique: l'architecture à la Renaissance; la taille de la pierre et la stéréotomie; le dessin d'observation scientifique, la peinture et la gravure; la philosophie.

Nomenclature codes

Nomenclature codes or codes of nomenclature are the various rulebooks that govern biological taxonomic nomenclature, each in their own broad field of organisms. To an end-user who only deals with names of species, with some awareness that species are assignable to families, it may not be noticeable that there is more than one code, but beyond this basic level these are rather different in the way they work. Constraint programming

Constraint programming (CP) is a paradigm for solving combinatorial problems that draws on a wide range of techniques from artificial intelligence, computer science, and operations research. In constraint programming, users declaratively state the constraints on the feasible solutions for a set of decision variables. Constraints differ from the common primitives of imperative programming languages in that they do not specify a step or sequence of steps to execute, but rather the properties of a solution to be found.

Constraint logic programming is a form of constraint programming, in which logic programming is extended to include concepts from constraint satisfaction. A constraint logic program is a logic program that contains constraints in the body of clauses. An example of a clause including a constraint is . This clause states one condition under which the statement A(X,Y) holds: X+Y is greater than zero and both B(X) and C(Y) are true.

Nomenclature

Nomenclature (UK, US) is a system of names or terms, or the rules for forming these terms in a particular field of arts or sciences. The principles of naming vary from the relatively informal conventions of everyday speech to the internationally agreed principles, rules and recommendations that govern the formation and use of the specialist terminology used in scientific and any other disciplines.
