This lecture introduces the Blue Brain Project, which aims to create, simulate, and evaluate brain models using a supercomputer-based platform. Starting in 2005, the project has evolved to include various levels of data integration, from subcellular to organism level, and has led to the development of a Virtual Tissue Model. The lecture also covers the project's progression in terms of computing capacity, organizational growth, and the interoperation with the Human Brain Project. It concludes with the future goals of the Blue Brain Project, including expanding the team, establishing a presence in multiple sites, and enhancing interoperation with other research platforms.
