This lecture presents the virtual project of three mechanical engineering students, Bodhi, Shane, and Louis, who participated in the AXOP challenge. They designed a system using propellers and balls to protect an egg from impact by slowing down the falling speed and cushioning the landing. The students set constraints for the project, built the mechanism using polystyrene and 3D printed parts, and conducted successful drop tests to ensure the egg's protection in the final test.
