Nikolaos BourantasNikolaos Bourantas (Νικόλαος Μπουραντάς; 1900 – 16 January 1981) was a Nazi collaborator during the Axis occupation of Greece during World War II in the capacity of City Police officer. Following the end of the war he was acquitted of war crimes charges and promoted to head of the City Police. He is the founder and leader of the far-right party Golden Dawn. In October 2020, he and 67 other Golden Dawn leaders were found guilty of leading a criminal organisation by the Athens Appeals Court. Michaloliakos was born in Athens in 1957. According to his party, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Mathematics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He is best known for his controversial anastylosis (restoration) of monuments on the Acropolis of Athens between 1894 and 1939.
