Continuous function

In mathematics, a continuous function is a function such that a continuous variation (that is a change without jump) of the argument induces a continuous variation of the value of the function. This means that there are no abrupt changes in value, known as discontinuities. More precisely, a function is continuous if arbitrarily small changes in its value can be assured by restricting to sufficiently small changes of its argument. Unit interval

In mathematics, the unit interval is the closed interval , that is, the set of all real numbers that are greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 1. Interval (mathematics)

In mathematics, a (real) interval is a set of real numbers that contains all real numbers lying between any two numbers of the set. This should not be confused with a closed manifold. Nowhere continuous function

In mathematics, a nowhere continuous function, also called an everywhere discontinuous function, is a function that is not continuous at any point of its domain. Therefore, no matter how close we get to any fixed point, there are even closer points at which the function takes not-nearby values.
