Marc VielleMarc Vielle has obtained a PhD degree in economics from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris). He worked as an economic researcher at the Laboratoire ERASME of Ecole Centrale de Paris and Université de Paris I (1987-1992), where he developed and managed the macroeconomic model HERMES-France. In 1991 he joined the Commissariat à lEnergie Atomique (CEA) as senior economist where he participated to the development of two models (GEM-E3 and PRIMES) funded by the European Commission. In 1996 he joined the Institut dEconomie Industrielle of Toulouse directed by Jean-Jacques Laffont. In 2003 he joined the Laboratoire dEconomie des Ressources Naturelles directed by Michel Moreaux. Since 2007, Marc works at EPFL.
He is member of the GEMINI-E3 team and participates to the development of the world general equilibrium model GEMINI-E3. Marc has a strong experience in economic modeling (especially CGE modeling), quantitative analysis, energy and climate change policies. He has contributed to several research projects funded by national governments, European Commission and private companies.

Sofia Charlotta OlhedeI am a professor of Statistics at EPFL. I did my PhD in Mathematics at Imperial College London, and graduated in 2003. I was an assistant professor (lecturer) at Imperial College London 2002-2006, and an associate professor (senior lecturer) 2006-2007. In 2007 I moved to University College London and became a full professor. I moved to EPFL in 2019, and in 2018 I became an Institute of Mathematical Statistics Fellow with citation “For seminal contributions to the theory and application of large and heteroge
Olivier LévêqueOlivier Lévêque was born in Switzerland in 1971. He received the physics diploma from EPFL in 1995 and completed his PhD in mathematics at EPFL in 2001. Since then, he has been with the Laboratory of Information Theory at EPFL. He spent the academical year 2005-2006 at the Electrical Engineering Department of Stanford University, where he was appointed as lecturer. His research interests include stochastic analysis, random matrices, wireless communications and information theory.
Dimitri Stelio WyssI did my PhD under the supervision of Tamas Hausel at EPFL and the Institue of Science and Technology Austria . From 2017-2019 I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Sorbonne University Paris 6 with François Loeser. Since September 2019 I hold the chair of arithmetic geometry at EPFL as a tenure track assistant professor. For more information see my CV.I work in algebraic and arithmetic geometry. My research uses ideas from p-adic and motivic integration to study the interplay between geometric and arithmet
Kamiar AminianKamiar Aminian received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering in 1982, the Ph.D degree in biomedical engineering in 1989 and the Postgraduate degree on technical computing in 1993 from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He was assistant professor (1994-1996) with Sharif University of Technology (Tehran). He joint EPFL in 1996 where he is currently Professor of medical instrumentation and the director of the Laboratory of Movement Analysis and Measurement in the Institute of Bioengineering of EPFL. His research interests include methodologies for human movement monitoring and analysis in real world conditions mainly based on wearable technologies and inertial sensors with emphasis on gait, physical activity and sport. His research aims to perform outcome evaluation in orthopaedics, to improve motor function and intervention programs in aging and patients with movement disorders and pain, and to identify metrics of performance in sport science.
Kamiar Aminian is a member of the International Society of Posture and Gait Research, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the European Society of Movement Analysis in Adults and Children, the Prevention of fall Network Europe, the Intentional Society of Biomechanics and the President of the 3D analysis of the human movement group. He is author or co-author of more than 450 scientific papers published in reviewed journals and presented at international conferences and holds 10 patents related to medical devices.
