Comparison of raster graphics editors

Raster graphics editors can be compared by many variables, including availability. Basic general information about the editor: creator, company, license, etc. The operating systems on which the editors can run natively, that is, without emulation, virtual machines or compatibility layers. In other words, the software must be specifically coded for the operation system; for example, Adobe Photoshop for Windows running on Linux with Wine does not fit.

Gestion dynamique des échelles de données raster dans un environnement interactif

Scale and resolution have long been key issues of geography. In recent years, the rapid development of desktop or Internet Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has forced a more precise consideration of these concepts. This research focuses on fitting the resolution of morphologic and thematic raster data, to the scale chosen to represent them in a GIS. To better adapt this resolution, reference aggregation methods based on the type of data are proposed. In the case of morphological raster data, this refere

Krita

Krita (ˈkɹiːtə ) is a free and open-source raster graphics editor designed primarily for digital art and 2D animation. The software runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and ChromeOS, and features an OpenGL-accelerated canvas, colour management support, an advanced brush engine, non-destructive and masks, group-based layer management, vector artwork support, and switchable customisation profiles. The project's name "Krita" is primarily inspired by the Swedish words , meaning "crayon" (or chalk), and which means "to draw".

Image editing

Image editing encompasses the processes of altering s, whether they are digital photographs, traditional photo-chemical photographs, or illustrations. Traditional analog image editing is known as photo retouching, using tools such as an airbrush to modify photographs or editing illustrations with any traditional art medium. Graphic software programs, which can be broadly grouped into vector graphics editors, raster graphics editors, and 3D modelers, are the primary tools with which a user may manipulate, enhance, and transform images.

Graphics software

In computer graphics, graphics software refers to a program or collection of programs that enable a person to or models visually on a computer. Computer graphics can be classified into two distinct categories: raster graphics and vector graphics, with further 2D and 3D variants. Many graphics programs focus exclusively on either vector or raster graphics, but there are a few that operate on both. It is simple to convert from vector graphics to raster graphics, but going the other way is harder.
